Stemming form the Marvel Comics franchise, Iron Man was produced in 2008 and starred Robert Downey Jr. in the title role. Iron Man was Marvels first self-financed film, and actors were openly encouraged to add their own dialogue. With a budget of $140 million, the box office figures reached $585.2 million, and two sequels have now been produced.
